Amphibians/Reptiles The unconfirmed mine field except for the cultivation area in Cheorwon plains form a typical marshy place and has an optimum living condition for amphibians, but is a disadvantageous environment for the reptiles except for water snakes and Dione ratsnakes, and the variety and the population is poor compared with other areas. The demilitarized zone in the north has developed into natural swamps, and although the long tailed salamanders were not found, there were higher populations of other species than the other areas.
