Mammals The roe deers, Chinese water deers, raccoon dogs, moles, squirrels were confirmed in the Cheorwon plain area of the middle-west inland area. In the case of the Chinese water deer, eight of them were seen in the same area (Pilseung Church observatory), and soley maintained a high habitation density among large herbivores; it can be presumed that the surviving large predators that feed on the Chinese water deers are only few or are exterminated.
