Plants This area is composed mostly of low hilly mountains with altitudes of 500m or less. And there are many lakes and swamps in this area. Warm weather and large quantity of rainfall being its characteristics, and a Mongolian oak were occupying most of areas here. However, due to the recent development, most of the area is now being reforested or the characteristic of the forest is changing. The old town of Cheorwon is now occupied with cultivated land, bushes, and a false acasia forest.
