Plants

Due to the oceanic climate, eastern seashore has warmer vegetation features compared to western seashore. At Myeongpa-ri, typical plants such as a Toadflax, and gaessseumbagwi are growing around the shore. Near the streams which are connected to the sea, there grow a Bulrush, a Fairy-bells, and even a Bur reed, a very rare plant. It is really important to preserve the original natural environment here and prevent water contamination to preserve those valuable natural assets.
These days, however, it is very hard to find an ecologically stable area due to artificial interferences. Most of pine trees here, a major species of tree that form the forest here, are lumbered, and, Mongolian Oaks and Oaks are taking their place now.
