Bangsang-myeon in Yanggu district is well known for good white clay, the raw material of White ceramics (Baekje). It is also recorded in the donggugyeojisungrim, with 13 other native produces. The ceramic of Bangsan is not as good as the royal families' ceramics of Bunwon, Gwangju, that is reckoned as the highest grade, but regularly used as the civilian use as it is kind of high standard. The production continued till 1960's but caused of the financial problems, the production was discontinued and at present only the site remains.
