Jangheung-ri, Cherwon Sites of the Paleolithic Period
The Analysis of Prehistoric Site of Yanggu Seashore Valley.

These sites were confirmed from the surface of the earth investigation of the cultural sites in Cherwon, operated by the Museum of Gangwon University in 1994. The relics were found at the clay layer, the sediment layer, which is on lava ground. More than 10 relics including the Zziggae, were excavated. They were stonewares made of quartz.
The sites were used as the military training center at the time of the discovery and it is assumed that the relics collection was explored from the layer that was destructed during training.

It is assumed that these relics belong to late the Paleolithic period, as the concentrations of small stoneware of quartz were excavated. Taking the fact the relics found in Imjin and Hantangang valley are generally from the mid-Paleolithic period, the found of these relics are to be the valuation of very important academic data.
